9.-11. Februar 2023
Le Conseil provincial de La Corogne, en Galice (Espagne), a invité des experts et des bonnes pratiques de toute l'Europe à Ferrol pour promouvoir le développement de l'important patrimoine culturel des monuments fortifiés des municipalités d'Ares, Ferrol et Valdoviño. FORTE CULTURA était représentée par Natasa Urosevic et Dirk Röder.

Over the years European fortified sites have been transforming into places for participation in arts, culture and memory. They also reveal their potential in regional sustainable development and climate change adaptation. The 2022 EFFORTS Europe congress was organised on fortified heritage revitalisation subjects: horizontal integration of the role of fortified heritage, re-use and adaptation strategies, and social integration and creative innovation in local communities.

15.-16. September 2022 Forte Margehra
Forte Marghera, an der Brücke zur Lagunenstadt Venedig gelegen, bot den würdigen Rahmen für die Konferenz, die Festungs-Expert:innen aus Italien, Finnland, Deutschland, Polen, Kroatien, Spanien, Belgien und der Ukraine zusammenführte. Die von der Fondazione Forte Marghera ausgerichtete und von EFFORTS und FORTE CULTURA unterstützte Veranstaltung, bot Best Practices im Bereich Festungssanierung, Museologie, Tourismus, Digitalisierung u.v.m. Die Konferenz wurde live gestreamt.

5. Fachtagung zum Ausbau der Festungskooperation am Oberrhein: „Jugendbegegnung und Inklusion“ - Entwicklung von zielgruppenorientierten Angeboten in Festungsmonumenten
Jugendbegegnung und Inklusion war das Thema der diesjährigen Fachtagung am Oberrhein. Gut 30 Vertreter:innen der Festungsmonumente Oberrhein informierten sich in der Stadthalle der Festungsstadt Germersheim über Projektideen, Fördermöglichkeiten und Best Practices im Bereich Jugendbegegnung und Inklusion. Auf Basis der spannenden Vorträge entwickelten die Teilnehmer:innen in einem Workshop schließlich eigene Ideen für die Umsetzung von inklusiven Angeboten und Jugendbegegnung in ihren Festungsmonumenten.
Jun 2022: FORTITUDE Final Conference Banja Luka (BIH)

Le projet Interreg - IPA CBC FORTITUDE a connu son apothéose en Bosnie. L'événement a présenté les excellents résultats obtenus par les partenaires du projet dans le domaine des développements régionaux et transfrontaliers pour le tourisme fortifié. FORTE CULTURA et EFFORTS, qui ont dirigé l'atelier technique sur la numérisation et la promotion du patrimoine à Karlovac (HR) en 2021 dans le cadre du projet, ont également présenté leurs réseaux et signé une déclaration d'intention pour de futures coopérations avec les forteresses de Sibenik, Banka Luka, Karlovac et Bar.

Annual General Meeting of the FORTE CULTURA Fortress Network
29 members and guests from 7 countries met for the FORTE CULTURA General Assembly 2021 at the Fortress Königstein (Saxony).The Executive Board and the Scientific Committee presented a highly impressive performance report on the activities and results of the last 15 months. Highlights were the positive network development, project developments and the extensive workshop and conference programme I cooperation with EFFORTS.

Fortress Tourism at Upper Rhine Region - guided tours and travel development with FORTE CULTURA
The 4th symposium dealt with the question of how cross-border tourism for the fortified monuments of the Upper Rhine region can be organised in cooperation with the European Cultural Route FORTE CULTURA. The practice-oriented contents provided information on the way as a fortress monument to a booked tourism destination. Concrete travel modules for fortress tourism in the Upper Rhine region were developed in workshop sessions.

Sustainable Valorisation of Fortified Heritage
The FORTE CULTURA / EFFORTS joint scientific group prepared an evaluation conference to the SUSTAINABLE VALORISATION OF FORTIFIED HERITAGE, hosted by the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula.
The online conference should support the cultural heritage of fortified monuments by sharing and discussing of best practices throughout Europe in different topics. THE PURPOSE is, therefore, to develop international and multidisciplinary scientific and research network and exchange information and experiences related to EUROPEAN BEST PRACTICE in fortified heritage management.
